A mediating conjuncture is a dynamic collection of circumstances, forces, and elements that converge at a moment of action. Mediating conjunctures characteristically have an ever-changing structure that we may describe as instances of flux. They are therefore intangible. They relate to the fluid environment of an action and therefore to the interplay of influences of this action. As an environment, a mediating conjuncture refers to the mediation that enables the action, but there would also be no mediating conjuncture without action, as this is an integral part of its existence; actions are the context of the mediation as well as the effect; mediating conjuncture operates with action while also being made from action.
