Arilys JIA is completing a master's degree in French Language Literatures at the University of Montréal. Her thesis project is centered around the mechanisms of narration and interaction in choose-your-own-adventure books, and agency in reading.

She manages communications for the Canada Research Chair in Digital Textualities and helps with the scientific coordination the journal Sens public. She is also a Web editor for the student magazine Fémur and an agent for inclusivity and fight against racism for the creative writing student magazine Le Pied.
