CRIHN Work-in-progress series 2017-2018 - Ghislain Thibault

The first Work-in-progress session of the CRIHN members will be dedicated to the project of Ghislain Thibault: « Humanités analogiques : la mécanologie canadienne, précurseure des humanités numériques ».

Ghislain Thibault is professor at the Communication Department of the University of Montréal, where he teaches media studies and media history. His works has been published in Configurations, VIEW, Canadian Literature, Canadian Journal of Communication et Intermédialités. With professor Mark Hayward, he leads a SSHRC funded project on history and mecanology, a French Canadian mouvement which lies aside cybernetics since 1960s and on the works of Jean Le Moyne and Gilbert Simondon.
